My name is Marielle Klein. I successfully completed my Bachelor of Science in Business Education in August 2015. As a practical start to my Master's degree, I have now been an intern in the "Human Resources Development and Training" department at Westfalen since January. Fortunately, I absolutely disagree with the "curse" that is often attached to an internship: As an intern at Westfalen, you don't stand at the copy machine. From the very first day, I was accepted as a full member of the team and have since been assigned a wide range of tasks.
Our names are Marc Eßling and Katrin Weigelt. We are both studying economics with a focus on marketing and are doing our practical semester in the energy supply sector for three and six months respectively. But what is the application process like at Westfalen? What is particularly important during the interview and what are the first days at work like? We asked ourselves these and other questions before and during the application process! For this reason, we want to give not only colleagues but also potential applicants a little insight.
My name is Lara, I am 21 years old and I am studying business administration at Münster University of Applied Sciences. In my seventh semester, from March to August 2018, I completed an internship at Westfalen AG in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) department. During the second half of my time at the company, I also wrote my Bachelor's thesis. I have known Westfalen AG since I was a child. If you're lucky, on Shrove Monday in Münster you'll catch the good fancy dress with the jumping blue horse on a white background. You also come across the Westfalen logo on many corners in everyday life: in the form of petrol stations, of course.
We offer you the opportunity to write a practice-oriented thesis in many areas of our company. The ideal combination is an internship lasting several weeks. This will give you all the insights you need to write your thesis. A contact person will be available to support you throughout the entire period. Simply contact us and tell us your preferred department and topic.
Then a student job with us is just the right thing for you! In many of our departments, it is possible to work on a subject related to your studies. Not only will you gain experience, but you will also make your first contacts for potential full-time employment later on. Just get in touch with us and tell us which department you would like to work in and what you would like to do.
As a working student, we offer you appropriate remuneration for your services.
Find your way through the jungle of professions. Get to know our work and the issues that concern us. Gain exciting insights with an internship and take on smaller tasks independently. In which field would you like to gain experience?
Duration and application: Schools usually specify periods of two to four weeks. You are also welcome to complete a voluntary internship during the school holidays. Please indicate the desired duration of the internship and the field of work in your application.
