May we introduce: Our dual students.

Apply now!

Dual study programme at Westfalen.

Combine theory with practice! With a dual study programme, you integrate scientific work into a varied everyday professional life.

We offer you this interesting combination of practical training and science-related studies at our company headquarters in Münster. In addition to the practical training, you will also learn a lot about business administration in the courses.

The dual study programme at Westfalen:

Working and studying at the same time - that has many advantages. Professionally and also personally.

Jan.

Studies business administration - finds that he develops much more personally with the mix of training and studying than if he only studied.

Franziska.

Studied business administration - definitely wanted to study, but considers work experience just as important.

Julian.

Studies industrial engineering - loves the regular life during the working phase and the freedom of his study life.

"I think this dual system is very good:

I learn completely different things at work than in theory. But the theoretical basics are still important. For example, you can't do it without the formulas. And then applying them in practice is really fun.“

Julian

"The synchronised change between university and work is sometimes exhausting.

But after three years you have both: training and a bachelor's degree."

Jan

"Where will I go after graduation?

I'm still undecided. It's good that I still have time to make this decision and that I can get a taste of many areas at Westfalen.“

Franziska

The dual study programme in Lingen is attractive, just like the trappings that Westfalen offers.

Here you can find out more about the Institut für Duale Studiengänge (IDS) of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences at the Lingen Campus.

In the video, Franziska, Jan and Julian talk about their dual studies.

"The campus in Lingen is very modern.

And we have small classes; in some courses there are only 18 of us, which is very intensive support. We can ask all questions, the lecturers also know our names.“

Julian

"Lingen may only have 15.000 inhabitants. Nevertheless, there is a lot going on here. Especially in the evening and at the weekend.

That's probably because many students come from Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia - and they all stay here for the weekend. That's how friendships develop quickly. By the way, there are many pubs and an above-average number of clubs in Lingen - and they all have special offers for students. What we often do in the summer: We barbecue at the students' houses who live in shared flats with gardens. There are quite a few of them.“

Jan

Our company restaurant is great.

(Canteen would just not be the right term, it tastes really great).

This is where all the trainees meet to eat together, to learn and, of course, to chat.

"As a student town, Lingen is very nice.

It offers much more than you would expect from a small town."

Franziska

"I have a small flat in the student dormitory - my first own!

Westfalen pays for this flat almost entirely."

Jan

"I think it's quite remarkable:

We also get our salary during the ten-week study phase - so even if the company doesn't see you at all."

Julian

This is what you can look forward to:

Over 1,000 € training allowance.

37.5 hours per week.

30 days of holiday.

Subsidy for a student flat in Lingen.

Trainee ticket for bus and train.

Discount for fitness centres.

"At Westfalen and also at university, I quickly got to know many new people.

At first I was afraid that I would be alone. But the reality is quite different. At university, for example, I have fellow students with whom I study together. And then I always look forward to meeting the other trainees at Westfalen again."

Franziska
