LPG tank testing: We do it for you!

What do your car and your LPG tank have in common? The legislator prescribes regular inspections for both. Not for fun, but to spare you unpleasant surprises and to ensure the highest possible safety. In terms of gas tank maintenance, this means that the legal requirements for the location and operation of your LPG tank are checked for compliance, and the result of each of these prescribed tests is documented in detail. In this way, the regular LPG tank inspection is also proof within the scope of your duty of care. You don't want to take care of everything yourself? No problem, just ask us. We'll do it for you!

BetrSichV, GefStoffV, TRBS, TRF, USWUSF: Jungle seeks scout!

Tank inspection, pipework inspection, safety valve and fittings inspection? Private or commercial use? Use for heat supply or as drive energy? Any specials? The thicket of regulations and directives is indeed confusing for laymen. Your Westfalengas energy experts can help you sort through the confusion, protect your liquid gas system from accidents and you from trouble and fines. So before you ask yourself whether you have everything in view:

Just ask us!

Oh yes, for the sake of completeness:

  • BetrSichV = Betriebssicherheitsverordnung (Industrial Safety Ordinance)
  • GefStoffV = Gefahrstoffverordnung (Ordinance on Hazardous Substances)
  • TRBS = Technische Regeln für Betriebssicherheit (Technical rules for operational safety)
  • TRF = Technische Regeln Flüssiggas (Technical rules for liquefied petroleum gas)
  • USWUSF = Undsoweiterundsofort (Andsoonandsoon)– because the rules and regulations above are by no means the end of the story ...

On the outside, yes, but also on the inside: Exterior and interior LPG tank inspection.

The external and internal LPG tank tests are essential for every LPG supply system. That is why we will be happy to show you the scope and general conditions on the basis of these compulsory checks.

There are corresponding specifications for all kinds of plant components, the catalogue is long, and so are the pitfalls. The easiest way to avoid stumbling: Delegate the inspection complex to us!

  2. You decide to buy a LPG tank from us. Then it's best to book the right service package at the same time.

FAQ: Frequently asked questions about LPG tank testing.

How often does a LPG tank need to be checked?

From the outside, the LPG tank must be inspected every two years. Every ten years, an internal inspection of the tank is due, during which the integrity and tightness of the tank are checked. It does not matter whether the tank is placed above or below ground.

Who tests LPG tanks?

Liquefied gas tanks must be inspected by qualified personnel with the appropriate certificate of competence. The external inspection is carried out by the so-called "qualified person". The internal inspection is carried out by experts from an approved inspection body (ZÜS). The required qualification is also precisely specified for all other prescribed checks. Numerous Westfalengas energy experts have the relevant expertise. Where external experts need to be called in, we draw on the network we have built up over decades. This means that you can place liquid gas tank testing, gas tank maintenance and servicing in the best hands.

What should a LPG tank inspection cost?

The costs of a LPG tank inspection depend on the scope. For an external inspection, you should currently expect an amount of just under 100 euros including VAT. Ideally, you should combine upcoming inspections with each other; we will be happy to make you appropriate package offers.
