There are many different additional therapies in connection with oxygen ventilation. Medicines can be added in the form of tablets, but also in the form of gases or gas mixtures. Our Respadur® A product range includes three prescription ready-to-use medicines containing the active ingredient nitric oxide (NO) in different active ingredient concentrations. Cryotherapy (cold therapy) refers to various procedures that use the targeted application of cold to treat complaints and diseases. In cryopreservation (cryobanking), cold is used to preserve cells and tissue. Our gas for this is called Corpadur® N: medical liquid nitrogen, certified as a medical product.

In minimally invasive surgery and also in endoscopies, gaseous carbon dioxide creates cavities that enable examinations and facilitate interventions. The gas is manufactured and sold by Westfalen as a medical product under the brand name Corpadur® C endo. With Corpadur® C cryo we also offer carbon dioxide for liquid withdrawal for cryotherapy.
Fields generated by superconducting magnets are the basis of the examination method of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The superconductivity is created by cooling the magnets with liquid helium - Westfalen offers you supply solutions for this. Another product especially for diagnostic procedures is the ready-to-use drug ProMED pul. It is used in lung function testing.
